Earline Hart Andrews holds a proclamation from Texas Governor Gregg Abbott on her 105th birthday on October 28, 2015. Earline also received a Proclamation from Tyler Mayor Martin Heines proclaiming October 28th Earline Andrews Day. Her college years were very dear to her heart still to this day and it’s noticeable as she holds onto a thick book on the history of Northwestern University, that was given to her on her 104th birthday by the office of Alumni Affairs from the University when representatives of the Northwestern University Alumni Office visited her for an interview which was published in the the Northwestern University Alumni News and the Shreveport Times. Earline Andrews spent 43 years as a classroom teacher and said her inspiration to travel the world came from a guest who spoke at Northwestern Normal School during her student days.

Paula Warren, Anna Lee, and Leta Porter spent about 3 hours volunteering at the Watkins-Logan State Veterans Home on Veterans Day. Parade attendants and veterans lined the sidewalks in honor of America's veterans. Richard Borden Chapter, along with several other patriotic groups waved their flags, cheered for the Veterans, and served lunch provided by Brookshire's Grocery. It was indeed an inspirational event for these three volunteers.

Colonial Heritage Month
Each fall, Richard Borden Chapter members set up an American Colonial Heritage display in the Tyler Public Library commemorating Colonial Heritage Month. Items are from members personal collections.
